Magnolia Leaf Litter is a vital component in naturalistic vivariums, simulating the forest floor. This all-natural, chemical-free decor creates protective hiding spots for reptiles, amphibians and more, while also supporting microfauna like isopods and springtails by providing both shelter and a slow-decaying food source.
As the leaves break down, they enrich the substrate with nutrients, promoting healthy plant growth and maintaining the bioactive cycle. Ideal for humid enclosures, magnolia leaves also can serve as visual barriers, and help regulate humidity, as well as mimic the ecological role of fallen leaves in rainforest environments.
One gallon of leaf litter covers approximately 15 square feet at a 1-inch depth, making it a quick and effective way to create a natural, enriching ecosystem for your terrarium’s habitants.
